Single Pour Solid Chill Rolls

Single Pour Solid Chill Rolls are cast iron rolls manufactured in a single pour process with a chilled outer working layer and a grey iron core. The outer surface is rapidly cooled during casting to create a hard, wear-resistant "chill zone," while the inner structure remains softer and more ductile. This results in a roll with excellent surface hardness and good mechanical strength, ideal for a wide range of general-purpose rolling applications.

These rolls are known for their uniform hardness, good thermal conductivity, and cost-effectiveness. They are best suited for mills that require consistent surface finish and durability without the added complexity or cost of composite rolls.
